Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal data we collect through upstreamstudio.co.uk and how we use it. The site is run by UpStream Business Solutions FZE, a company registered in Sharjah, United Arab Emirates ("UpStream", "we").

What we collect

When you send an enquiry, we collect the details you choose to give: your name, your work email address, your business name or website, the service and location you select, and your message. We also record the page you sent it from, the time, and, if you arrived from an advert or a tagged link, the campaign details in that link (for example utm_source or an ad click ID), so we can reply in context and see which campaigns bring genuine enquiries. We do not ask for a phone number.

When you use the site, we may collect usage data through analytics, but only after you accept analytics cookies.

How we use it and why

We use your enquiry details to reply to you and to discuss and quote for the work you asked about. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries you have sent us, and, where we go on to work together, taking steps to enter into a contract with you. We do not sell your data, and we do not add you to marketing lists without asking.

Where your data is processed

Our team is based in the United Arab Emirates, so your enquiry is read and handled there. Enquiries are delivered by email from this website's server to our business inbox. We limit access to the people who need it to reply to you.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiries for as long as needed to respond and to follow up on the conversation, and for no longer than 24 months if no work goes ahead, unless you ask us to delete them sooner.

Cookies and analytics

Strictly necessary storage keeps the site working: your cookie choice and your light or dark theme are remembered in your browser's local storage. The free planning tools save your answers in your browser on this device only, so you can come back to them; nothing is sent to us unless you choose to send an enquiry, and each tool's Reset button clears its saved answers.

Optional cookies are off until you choose "Accept all". We use Google Consent Mode, so analytics and advertising measurement stay denied by default and only switch on with your consent. With consent, campaign details from the link you arrived on are also kept for the rest of your browser session (they are cleared when you close the tab) so they can travel with an enquiry you choose to send. If you choose "Essential only", no analytics or advertising tags are loaded and no campaign details are kept.

You can change or withdraw your choice at any time with the "Cookie settings" button at the foot of every page.

We never send your name, email address or message to analytics tools.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, object to how we use it, or ask us to restrict its use. To make a request, use the contact form and choose "Privacy or data request". We will reply within one month.

If you are in the UK and unhappy with how we have handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
