Answers your buyers are looking for

Answer Engine Optimisation for UK Businesses

Buyers ask search engines and AI assistants direct questions: what does it cost, how long does it take, is it right for me. AEO finds those questions, checks how well your site answers them, and writes clear answers backed by evidence.

  • A buyer-question map for your business
  • Answer coverage scored page by page
  • Clear answers with evidence, not filler
  • No promise of featured snippets or rich results

Why sites fail to answer buyer questions

Most sites describe the business. Buyers want answers to their questions.

Prices and timelines are hidden

The most-asked questions (cost, duration, process) are the ones most sites avoid answering, so buyers find the answer elsewhere.

Answers are buried

A useful answer hidden in paragraph six of a long page is hard for people and machines to find and quote.

Generic FAQ padding

FAQs written to fill a page, rather than from real questions, add length without helping anyone decide.

AEO starts from the real questions buyers ask, scores how well each is answered, and fixes the gaps with clear, evidenced answers.

Sample

A sample buyer-question map

Every question is given one page that should answer it, then scored. This labelled sample shows the format; yours is built from your Search Console data, sales conversations and reviews.

Sample answer format

How long does it take?

Direct answer first: one or two sentences that answer the question plainly, with the real range.

Then the detail: what changes the answer (size, complexity, the client's own steps).

Then the evidence: a dated example, a process step or a source a reader can check.

Then the next step: a link to the page or form that helps them act.

How AEO works with us

AEO is part of the shared AI search add-on with GEO. It is charged once and always sits on top of SEO.

  1. 1

    Question research

We collect the questions buyers ask: from Search Console, People also ask, your sales team, reviews and AI tools.

  2. 2

    Coverage audit

Each question is mapped to the page that should answer it and scored: answered well, answered poorly, or not answered.

  3. 3

    Answer content

Two answer-focused improvements a month: rewritten sections, new answer pages or FAQ blocks, each with evidence.

  4. 4

    Maintain

Answers reviewed as prices, processes and questions change, so they stay accurate.

FAQ markup can help machines read a page, but it does not guarantee a rich result or a featured snippet. We use it only where the visible content supports it.

Answer engine optimisation questions

What is answer engine optimisation?

AEO is the work of making sure your website clearly answers the questions buyers ask, in a form that people, search engines and AI assistants can find and quote. It focuses on questions and answers rather than keywords alone.

How is AEO different from SEO and GEO?

SEO earns rankings for searches. GEO focuses on how AI answers represent and cite your business. AEO focuses on the questions themselves and the quality of your answers. In practice they overlap, which is why GEO and AEO are one shared add-on on top of SEO.

Which customer questions should our website answer?

The ones buyers ask before they decide: cost, timelines, process, suitability, comparisons and objections. We build the list from real data: your Search Console queries, your sales conversations, reviews and the questions AI tools are asked.

Can you improve answers on our existing pages?

Yes, and that is usually where we start. Rewriting an existing section to answer a question directly is often faster and more effective than publishing a new page.

Does FAQ schema guarantee a rich result?

No. Google stopped showing FAQ rich results in Search in May 2026, and no markup guarantees any rich result or featured snippet. We write FAQs because they help buyers, and add structured data only where the visible content supports it.

How much does AEO cost?

AEO shares one add-on with GEO at £79 a month on top of SEO (£278 a month together), charged once. The one-off AI visibility diagnostic is £129 and is included free when you start SEO + AI search.
